Election Announcement Correction
The CSIA BC Committee has an important correction to our 2016 Board Seat Election Announcement. We reported, in error, that there were two seats up for election this fall, one Southwestern Zone seat and the Director-At-Large. A partnership agreement has been reached between the Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance and the various associations representing Adaptive Alpine Snow Sports within Canada in the interest of exploring opportunities to share and collaborate on common initiatives related to instructor education, training and certification.Read more...
On Saturday 23 November, the CSIA BC Committee and 120 CSIA members kicked off the season at Whistler. Ignition Day Whistler was sold out this year as CSIA members from Whistler, the Lower Mainland and even the Okanagan came to enjoy some early season turns.

Our newest program City Lights Special offered at Mt.Seymour, Cypress, and Grouse Mountain, was a great success. We had excellent snow conditions for all 3 events, but encountered some challenges with re-scheduling due to inclement weather. We had a good turnout with a total of 70 participants.Read more...
On the weekend of March 24/25 CSIA BC members gathered in Whistler to tune their skiing and have some serious fun. Ken Paynter, CSIA BC’s technical coordinator, assembled a team of top trainers to lead two days of skill development. Even Mother Nature cooperated by supplying some of the best weather of the season.Read more...
January 27th was the perfect ski day. Snow conditions were incredible; the groomers were velvet carpets with a dusting of snow and the off piste lines beckoned, daring experimentation beyond personal boundaries. The type of ski days we dream about, one that stirs all the senses.Read more...
Ignition Days Spark Passion for Skiing
Ignition Days in Whistler, Big White and Fernie have added a spark to kick start the season for 160 CSIA BC members. With Northern Festival at Troll Mountain in January, there will be plenty of fire to stoke passion for skiing and instructing this winter.Read more...
