Currently we have 3 director’s seats up for election. The existing directors will be running for re-election in each of their zones except for the Kootenay Zone. The seats available are:

  • Director at Large
  • South Western Zone
  • Kootenay Zone

In total, the CSIA BC committee has four zones with seven directors:

  • 3 Directors from the South Western zone
  • 1 Director from the Northern zone
  • 1 Director from the Okanagan zone
  • 1 Director from the Kootenay Zone
  • 1 Director at large

To qualify for a Director’s position in a specific zone you must be a member in good standing, a resident of British Columbia, and reside in the zone you would like to run for. The Director seat is held for a two-year term. The person elected to a Director seat can be reelected for a maximum of three consecutive terms.

If you are interested in becoming a Director in one of these zones please contact Josh Foster at jfoster@bigwhite.com or by mail at 5315 Big White Rd. Kelowna BC, V1P 1P3. If you are unable to attend the AGM and wish to vote, a proxy form and instructions is available below, and will be available electronically on snowprobc.com in early October.

By-Law Amendments

The BC Committee would like to amend the Director at Large position on the board. Currently it states the Director must be a member of Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors. The committee would like to propose that the Director at large seat be held by a CSIA member who is in good standing and that they can reside in any region within British Columbia.

New for this year’s AGM will be Ignition Day on Saturday November 28th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to get out on the snow and start your season off with some of the best Level 4’s in BC. As always the PDP is free, please sign up at www.snowprobc.com in advance to ensure that you get a space. We look forward to seeing you at the AGM and out on the mountain!
